The old model (about 3 years ago) does not have serial number. kpop idol number 864 almost all butterfly blades are made in japan. kpop idol number 864 some are made in china but on the surface it generally says "made in china" doesn't matter where you buy them I recently bought a butterfly blade from a local dealer and it had the serial number on it
